Privacy Policy
Welcome to Zonnify! Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how PROTODEV (PRIVATE LIMITED) ("Zonnify", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our platform at zonnify.com, an AI-powered canvas for building, organizing, and visualizing ideas, including features for AI clustering, next-step prediction, real-time collaboration, and presentation tools.
By accessing or using Zonnify, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We collect different types of information to provide and improve our services, including the following.
Account Information: your name, email address, password, and profile details, which are managed through Clerk, our authentication provider. Canvas and Workspace Data: boards, notes, sticky notes, sketches, links, transcripts, AI-generated content, and any other material you create, upload, or store on your canvases. Billing Information: payment details when you purchase a Standard, Enterprise, or other paid plan. Support Requests: any data you provide when contacting our support team.
Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent, and interactions with the platform. Cookies and Tracking Technologies: we use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, keep you signed in, and analyze traffic.
Authentication Providers: Zonnify uses Clerk to manage sign-in and sign-up. If you authenticate using Google or another supported provider, Clerk shares basic profile information (such as your name, email address, and profile picture) with us. Payment Processors: Paddle, our payment provider, may share transaction data such as order confirmations, subscription status, and billing history with us.
When you connect your Zonnify account to third-party services, we may access limited data as permitted by you and the relevant third-party platform's terms. Examples include profile details, files, or content shared through connected integrations. You can disconnect integrations at any time from your Zonnify account settings. Disconnecting an integration will stop new data syncs, but previously imported data may remain unless you request its deletion.
We use your information to provide and operate the Zonnify platform, including your canvases, AI features, and collaboration tools; to improve our platform by analyzing usage, optimizing performance, and developing new features; to ensure security, detect fraud, enforce our policies, and protect against unauthorized access; to send service updates, and, where you have opted in, promotional content and newsletters; and to comply with applicable tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
We do not sell your personal data. However, we may share your information with service providers who help us operate Zonnify, including Clerk for authentication, Paddle for payment processing, and Firestore (Google Cloud) for hosting and database storage; with other collaborators on a shared canvas or workspace, to the extent necessary to enable collaboration features; where required by law, court order, or government request; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, including providing our services and meeting legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. We implement strong security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of your data.
We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transfers. Passwords are managed and securely hashed by Clerk and are never stored by us in plain text. Access to production data, including our Firestore database, is restricted to authorized personnel only. We regularly review our security practices and dependencies. For integrations and APIs, authentication tokens are encrypted and securely stored.
Your data is stored using Firestore, which may keep data on servers located in different regions, including the EU, the US, and other jurisdictions. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards where required.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, update, or delete your data; withdraw consent for data processing; request data portability; and opt out of marketing communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@zonnify.com.
When you delete your Zonnify account, we permanently delete your profile, canvases, and personal information from our active Firestore database within 30 days, unless retention is required for legal or billing reasons, such as compliance with tax laws. Backup data may persist for up to 90 days before being automatically purged.
We use cookies to personalize your experience, keep you signed in via Clerk, and analyze usage. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
We use essential cookies required for site functionality, including authentication, and optional cookies for analytics and personalization. You can manage or disable non-essential cookies using our cookie banner or your browser settings.
Zonnify may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so we encourage you to review their policies.
We rely on third-party APIs and services, including Clerk for authentication, Paddle for payment processing, and Google Firestore for data storage. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review their terms when connecting accounts or making payments.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we will notify users of significant updates.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data under the following legal bases: contractual necessity, to provide our services to you; legitimate interest, to improve our platform and ensure security; consent, for marketing communications or integrations you connect; and legal obligation, for compliance with applicable laws.
Payments on Zonnify are processed through our third-party payment provider, Paddle. We do not store your full payment information, such as credit card numbers. Paddle processes your data according to its own privacy and security standards. We only retain non-sensitive transaction identifiers for billing and dispute resolution.
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate regulatory authorities within 72 hours, as required by applicable law.
Zonnify is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will delete it immediately.
